Video Game Music Stamp by MeltingMan234 Video Game Music Stamp by MeltingMan234
Here's a test of making one of those Animated Stamps doing one on Video Game Music. I'm pretty much one of those nerds who has alot of Video Game Music on their iPods, ranging from NES, Genesis, Playstation, Wii and so on. I just get more into the groove with the instrumental tunes and their different beats and rhythms.

Most people don't believe me when I say I prefer video game music. They think that every song from video games are either looping beeps or generic and inaudible music you'd usually hear from FPS's, but the music I prefer comes from games such as Persona, Sonic, Gran Turismo, etc.

Video games honestly have amazing music. Those composers definitely don't get enough credit!

IKR? I'm often the odd one out because I'm one of the select few people who prefer video-game music to mainstream radio..

I'd rather listen to the final boss theme of Megaman 4 (Which is a constantly looping 11-second tune) than listen to a guy talking about his dick for 3-5 minutes..

You are very true about that, I cant stand the "Blelblelel Trump wins over Hilary blahbleblah" on the radio.

Video Game music.. Much better than mainstream media music...

I mean would you rather listen to "Whatcha gonna do with a big, fat butt?", or the intro theme of Megaman 3?

Oh dear god I know that feel just right now I'm listening to the sonic 3D Blast soundtrack(BAd game but damn if the music isn't good). You'll actually find more video game music (chiptune in general) on my computer, mp3, and phone than music that is composed by mainstream artist.
SonicTeam765 Featured By Owner Sep 27, 2013
I agree. Mostly listen to music from Sonic games.
DominictheGamer Featured By Owner Sep 11, 2013

You know, I get pretty upset when most people bring up game music only to have someone disregard it as meaningless and nothing but random bleeps and bloops. :( Um, no. Game music is just as important and amazing as film, show, and whatever music happens to be popular in mainstream culture at the time. And such, it should be treated the same. Music is music. As long as you like how it sounds then there's nothing wrong with it.

Personally, I'd rather listen to tracks from a lot of video games (especially newer ones) and movies than listen to most mainstream songs... Why? Because I just like atmosphere like that. I've always preferred atmospheric background music to a lot of vocal tracks. Why? Dunno.

I'm guilty of this, I guess? xD

I have 129 songs on my ipod, and most of them are game tracks. It's mostly final fantasy and kingdom hearts music, lol. /dies

They told me once: "Game music? How boring, isn't it?"
If I wasn't at school at that moment I'd have punched them in the face. Because they don't know ANYTHING.

Game Music is ALWAYS good. And I won't care ever if it's the only thing I listen to. :)
Beau-Skunk Featured By Owner Dec 9, 2012
I don't have an iPOD, but I love video game music to. Even some of my friends made fun of me for that.

Even 8-bit NES chiptunes sound nice to me, having grown up with them. (Gatta love the 8-bit electric guitar sounds in "Skate or Die")
Some people think old game music sounds awful, but NES, SNES, and Genesis music sounds pretty advanced compared to the Atari.
